Plaza America Convention Center and Shopping Mall

The Plaza America combines a large shopping center (lower floor) and a convention center(upper floor). The 2500 square meters modern commercial mall features several boutiques, music shops, bookstore, cigar shops, a few restaurants, bars, 2 cafeterias, a supermarket, a drugstore, an optician’s shop, medical services, car rental desks, a bank, a post office, etc. The Convention Center has several size halls to hold national and international congresses and conventions. Centro Commercial Hicacos (Hicacos Commercial Center)

(formerly Parque de las 8000 Taquillas)
Address: Avenida 1 between Calles 44 and 46. This commercial area was entirely remodeled and features a large variety of shops, Etecsa Office, and a Infotur Office (tourist information). Opening hours: 10:00am to 10:00pm

Casa del Ron (House of Rum)

Address: Avenida 1 corner of Calle 63, Varadero. Inaugurated on December 22, 2001; the elegant Case del Ron is the best place to sample and purchase Cuba’s national famous liquor. Casa del Habano (House of Cigars)

Address: Avenida 1 corner of Calle 63, Varadero. Phone: (53 45) 66 7843. Recognized as one of the best shops of its kind, this tabaqueria offers a large variety of the finest tobacco products and world-class handmade cigars at a very reasonable price. Casa del Tabaco y del Cafe (House of Tobacco and Coffee)

Address: Avenida Playa corner of Calle 31. This is a large store where you can buy coffee and cigars, and also rum and some grocery items. They have a tasting lounge (coffee and cigars) and a oceanview terrace.

Feria Artesanal La Epoca (Craft Fair La Epoca)

Address: Avenida 1 corner of Calle 47, Varadero. This is a very large open-air craft market with dozen of stalls. It's located near the Parque Central. You can find there a large variety of traditional Cuban handicrafts (sculptures, paintings, masks, clothing, jewelry, dolls, ceramics, postcards, books, wall hangings, etc.) at a very reasonable price.

ARTex Handicraft Market and Music Store

Address: Avenida 1 corner of Calle 12, Varadero. Phone: (53 45) 61 2694. Their main store is located in downtown Varadero (opposite from Hotel Acuazul ) and they also have an outlet at Centro Comercial Plaza America. ARTex offers an excellent selection of CDs and cassette tapes; they have everything from old Cuban sounds to the hottest new rhythms, they also sell T-shirts, books, and a few musical instruments. El Encanto supermercado

Bazar Los Corales
