After extensive expansions over the last few years and ongoing, the Marina Gaviota is now the biggest and most modern marina in Cuba. This large marina is located at the eastern end of the Hicacos peninsula. Services offered are: Dockage, fuel, propane, electric power (220V and 110V), visas and formalities, drinking water, supplies and minor repairs, crew hire, shipchandler, hauling service, telephone, ice, showers, restrooms, laundry service, grocery store, several bars and restaurants including the famous seafood restaurant KiKe-Kcho, taxis, car rental, catamaran tours around the keys with lunch included, yacht and sailing boat rental, glass-bottom boat Nautilus, snorkeling, international Dive Center, piloting, salvage, rescue, excursion Crucero del Sol, Life on Board excursions (5 or 7 days on a catamaran), natural aquarium in the sea (Rancho Cangrejo) with dolphins trained for performances.

This marina is located on the western end of the Varadero Peninsula. Marlin is planning to expend it to 500 slips in three phases. Marina Darsena offers quayside services such as: visas and formalities, drinking water, radio, electricity (220V and 110V), maintenance, minor repairs, fuel, crew hire, shiphandler, telephone, ice, laundry, restrooms, restaurant, bar, lodging, small grocery, car rental, tour desk. They also offer a large variety of water sports, excursions, and boat rentals (motorboats, sailing ships, catamarans, jet-ski, kayaks, etc.).

This marina is located on the Chapelin channel which divides the Varadero Peninsula and the island mangrove of Punta Gorda. This one is a charter marina, visiting boats are not allowed. Marina Chapelin is the main Fishing Base in Varadero (deep-sea fishing excursions are available daily), it’s also home to a Dive Center (part of the Barracuda Diving Center), and a nice seafood restaurant. The very popular Seafari Cayo Blanco (full-day catamaran excursion) departs from Marina Chapelin daily. They also offer shorter catamaran tours and sunset cruises, and the exciting Boat Adventure Tour.
